Puppy Delivery Day: What to Expect When Your Beagle Arrives
Delivery day is one of the best days of the year — for you and for us. Here's what to expect when your Beagle Brook puppy arrives, so you can relax and enjoy it.
Before the day
- We confirm the date, time window and delivery method with you in writing.
- Our veterinarian examines your puppy shortly before travel.
- You'll get updates as your puppy travels.
- Set up your puppy's space: crate, bed, water bowl and a few toys. See our puppy care guide.
- Book your own vet visit within 72 hours of delivery.
When your puppy arrives
- Meet your puppy. Take a moment — they've had a big day.
- Check them over. Bright eyes, clean nose and ears, alert and curious. Check the microchip number matches your paperwork if you'd like.
- Pay the balance. The remaining 50% of the price is due at delivery, by PayPal, Zelle, Bank transfer, Chime or Apple Pay. You'll get a receipt.
- Receive your puppy pack.
What's in your puppy pack
- Health record: vet check, vaccinations with dates, and what's due next
- Microchip number to register in your name
- Full registration papers
- Starter food your puppy already eats
- Your sales agreement and health guarantee

The first few hours at home
- Take your puppy straight to their potty spot.
- Offer water and a small meal of their usual food.
- Let them explore one room quietly. Keep visitors to a minimum.
- Expect lots of sleep — travel is tiring.
The first night
Put the crate next to your bed, with a soft blanket. Your puppy may cry at first — a hand near the crate and a calm voice help. Take a quiet potty trip if needed, then straight back to bed.
The first week
Keep a calm routine, start potty and crate training, and visit your vet within 72 hours. And send us photos — we love seeing our puppies in their new homes. If you're happy, we'd be grateful for a review.
